Summit 2: 2006 Tuscany: Exploring the Secrets of Leonardo da Vinci
January 10, 2014
On a beautiful spring morning in the small town of Montecatini in Italy, members of the international Future Center community meet for the second time.
The plan: a nomadic tour of six historical and contemporary locations in Tuscany.
The dual objective: to discover some of the innovation secrets of Leonardo da Vinci, and encounter the work of contemporary innovators in the region.
The tour kept us busy for three days as we visited and explored, learned from each other and co-created good ideas in the following places:
A spa resort near Montecatini. One of the breakout groups ran a workshop in a cave, another group preferred to brainstorm in a thermic pool.
Vinci village – the museum, the old library, the piazza, the kindergarten. The spirit of Leonardo was a major inspirator.
Piaggio Museum – fascinating scooters set the perefect environment for breakthrough thinking.
Villa Celle – an extraordinary outdoor art museum, provided a very different setting to connect right and left brain thinking.
