De Werf - the Shipyard, Breda, the Netherlands

June 11, 2015

The Shipyard – the future center of the Dutch Tax & Customs Administration – has been working for 10 years to support innovation in its parent organization. The center is characterized by its uncompromising focus on the core processes of the Tax & Customs Administration and its flexible approach to providing the best methods, mind-set and atmosphere for innovating these processes. About 100 groups make use of the center every year.

In its early years the Shipyard was a place for creative spirits and true believers, but in the course of the last 10 years – under the motto ‘Licence to disturb’ – the Shipyard has steadily addressed more of the themes it sees as important for the organization’s development, especially from the perspective of social psychology.
