I must say working with this is challenging…it takes courage to let-go of my ‘old’ thinking and learn a new way to engage differently. This approach really does hold up the unconscious bias mirror! What is now evident to me is both very thrilling and daunting is equal measure.
Starting to work with Archetypes can feel initially odd, like you already know them yet not how to apply them. Working with them is quite remarkable, as they enabled me to hold some very focused ‘Mindset’ conversations whilst working on projects. The realisations are emerging super-fast. We have been working on a particular project for 8 years, with quite frankly very disappointing results and we didn’t know why. Within a matter of an hour working with the Change Agents we are able to see, discuss and make decisions at a much deeper level (Level 3) than ever before. I now feel much more able to articulate with great clarity about the challenge we face.
The findings result made it very clear that the focus of the 45 days prototype was Mindset & Culture. To do this we have been working with a pioneering methodology, that specialises in navigating the transition from the current S curve to the new one (from our current results to a renewed and expanded level). As mindset is largely unconscious, we have been exploring the S curve dynamic with the universal archetypes for Change Agency.
If I choose to stick with what I have created in the past, then I cannot expect different a outcome…right? I now recognise that this has not and will not deliver the desired results…I am learning that I have to look to myself, through the heart and then chose to make a change.
